About the Reporter of Decisions
The Reporter of Decisions is the Supreme Court office that prepares and publishes the Court's decisions. Because the Court's opinions bind every Michigan court, the Reporter makes sure they are accurate, consistently formatted, and easy to cite.
- Publishes each opinion in the Michigan Reports after the Court releases it.
- Edits for accuracy, checking citations, names, and dates without changing the Court's decision.
- Assembles the volumes of the Michigan Reports and keeps them in order.

Published volumes are final. Volumes in preparation are still being edited, so their contents may change.
Finding a decision
The volumes above show when decisions were released. To read an actual decision, use the Supreme Court case search. You can search by party name, case number, or issue, and open the opinion from the case record.
Looking for a specific case? Go straight to the Supreme Court case search. It's separate from the District Court's case search.
